Fritchi Manor is a chilling, 5-time award-winning indie short film that blends gothic atmosphere with psychological horror. Directed by Jermaine Alexander, the film stars Melissa Kaye Bontempt as Caroline Fritchi—a troubled woman bound to the dark secrets of her ancestral home. Joining her is Philip Sokolof as Mr. Gunderson, whose arrival begins to unravel the sinister truths hidden within the manor’s walls.
Written and produced by Melissa Kaye Bontempt, with California Performing Arts AV as Executive Producer, the film showcases the nonprofit’s mission of healing through the arts while pushing the boundaries of indie horror storytelling.
At its heart, Fritchi Manor tells the story of a woman haunted not only by the eerie halls of her family estate but also by the weight of her own past. As the walls seem to breathe with secrets and shadows, Caroline must confront what lies beyond the surface—blurring the line between the supernatural and her deepest fears.
